Designer · Researcher · Systems Thinker
About
I'm a designer who believes that the best interactions feel inevitable - like they've always existed, waiting to be discovered rather than invented.
My practice sits at the intersection of interaction design, systems thinking, and research. I'm drawn to problems that require understanding not just what people need, but why systems behave the way they do - and how thoughtful design can reshape those systems.
I came to design through a meandering path: literature, cultural studies, and a deep curiosity about how stories shape behavior. That background taught me to read between the lines, to ask questions about power and access, and to believe that design is as much about listening as it is about making.
Design Philosophy
Good design doesn't announce itself. It creates space for people to act with intention, to feel competent, and to trust that the system respects their time and agency. I design for the moments when technology fades into the background and people can focus on what truly matters.
What I Do
I specialize in interaction design and UX research, with a particular interest in:
- Designing for underserved or marginalized communities
- Healthcare and accessibility-focused systems
- Cultural preservation through interactive media
- Systems design and information architecture
I'm proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and various prototyping and research tools. But more importantly, I'm comfortable moving between high-level strategic thinking and detailed interaction design.
What I'm Seeking
I'm currently exploring opportunities for:
- Graduate school in Human-Computer Interaction or Design
- UX/Product Design roles focused on social impact or accessibility
- Research positions where I can deepen my practice in participatory design
I'm especially interested in organizations that value research-driven design and believe in design as a tool for equity.
Beyond Design
When I'm not designing, you'll find me playing strategy games (my current obsession is designing my own card game, Anansi's Web of Tricks), reading speculative fiction, or exploring how folklore and mythology inform modern storytelling.
I'm also deeply interested in the ethics of AI, decolonial design practices, and the role of design in cultural preservation.
